Hi Edugeekers,

I've recently rolled out a nice new image of Windows 7 with Office 2010 on. I *think* I've set up all the folder redirections correctly (I followed the Technet how to guide) and from a picking up student's "My Documents" and profiles seems to be okay, there are no "logging you on with a local profile" messages as they log on.

The problem I am now having is that Outlook 2010 is not correctly picking up their mailboxes and we have to run the mailbox setup wizard each time they boot it. I've downloaded the Microsoft Admin templates for Office 2010 and installed the Outlook14 template to our group policy, which although it is useful as it lets us stop the students from making a cached version of their mailbox, I couldn't see anything for pointing at their mailbox

I'm running short on ideas and inspiration! Help!

Rob

Hi,

We have it setup that the shortcut to Outlook 2010 imports a prf file and in the prf file the username field is set to the users username

Thanks

Ricky

You want to set the following group policy:

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Microsoft Outlook 2010 > Account Settings > Exchange > Automatically configure profile based on Active Directory Primary SMTP address

Morning all,

After trying out all of your ideas, we found the icon with the script worked. Very useful to have and easy to deploy! Thank you all so much for your input and help! :-)
