Our data manager is doing the following:

Focus > Profiles > Student profiles > Choose session > Selecting tutor group > Generate > Print

Now what they're trying to do is print tutor groups individually however after printing one tutor group they have to reboot the machine completely before it'll then let them print another tutor group. Otherwise, if they print one and then attempt to print another it runs through the generating fine but when you choose the print button it doesn't do anything.

Any ideas? Only been happening since November 2011.

When doing the same thing in Assessment Manager it crashes out the application.

Windows 7 and / or Office 2010? I would check out the office 2010 issues threads and run the patches. Lots affected by printing and crash outs. What happened in November - any upgrade to SIMS, the client OS, Office..?

This is one of many posts: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/mis-systems/55154-office-2010-compatibility-5.html#post738128 That hotfix worked for me, but you may need the one a few posts earlier too. I think there is a hotfix rollup from June that should include a number of different ones that is worth trying.

Do you mean this? Download: Microsoft Office 2010: Primary Interop Assemblies Redistributable - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details

I can't find the rollup.

Nope, i meant that interop one as teh one above teh one i linked to, but that linked post wasn't a live link. Here's the live link Description of the Word 2010 hotfix package (Word-x-none.msp): June 28, 2011 and this should be included in this Office 2010 Cumulative Update for June 2011

Not sure if the interop fix is included in the rollup, so worth doing it first, then run the rollup.
