Graphics help

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to offer me some help with improving a graphic image that I have.

The image is a heraldic family crest but the quality is exceedingly poor & I haven't got a clue how to improve it, but a friend of mine suggested that I should post a request here.

I have tried loading the image to here but I get a 407 error !

Ah, I've managed to upload the image now. You will see how poor the quality is, the other thing is that the black background needs to be changed to white so that the shield is clearer.
