CAM Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I used to do piano as a kid but sucked at it. Gave up after a year and this was over a decade ago! I want to try my hand at violin as an adult though and wondering if anyone had any idea of where to best start.
witch Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I should imagine that there are plenty of beginners books - go to a music shop and ask! Also I think there are some tutorials on YouTube as well. Obviously lessons are the best way but they are expensive.
Elison Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 video ttorials are the best way I suppose is you dont want to pay for lessons. Its rather difficult to understand anything from the book, i mean how to use fingers and hands, how to move ur hands correctly, etc. U need to have an example of all this stuff. And vide is perfect. But books are necessary too for learning notes and so on. I ve tryed to learn how to play the guitar by myself, I read books but wasnt able to do anything until my friend showed me what to do (he plays the guitar well) and gave me video lessons.
