Clothing Design software (Speed Step alternative)

We can't get Speed Step to work on Windows 7 (rang their support and got told "you'll need to speak to the wife and she's out at the moment").

 

Can people suggest other textiles design software, I'd be glad to hear both recommendations and also packages to avoid.

That's the best tech support response ever. I shall try it with my next call...

 

It doesn't work properly with 7? Our DT department were recently calling for this software - as we're going 100% Windows 7 that would have been fun...
