Conrad Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Hi folks, Not sure if the right place to post this, but after an attack of the vanishing A records with the host of a couple of our servers (records were there on the DNS control panel, but not on their DNS servers!) I am thinking about moving some domain names somewhere else with someone with reliable DNS hosting / replication. Would anyone have any suggestions on someone reliable to do so in the UK? Any help muchly appreciated! Regards John
crutchfieldj Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Most domain registrars will also have their own DNS servers. If you want to use someone else for DNS, I can recommend Cloudflare, they've been very reliable so far. Not sure about UK domain registrars, however, as I've only ever used US ones.
cpjitservices Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Been with these for a long time no issues., Domains - .SO Domain Registration - .XXX Domains - Domainmonster.com
soveryapt Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I use Cheap Domain Names Registration, Domain Transfer, SSL Certificates, Free DNS, Privacy Protection • Namecheap.com .. very reasonable and I've not had any issues with them and they have quite a comprehensive list of tools (their own Dynamic DNS thing so you can make use of your domain name, but in a school that's probably a redundant feature I guess .. lol)
john Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I can highly recommend CS New Media, Carl and team are great and pricing is great for the service and no issues dealing with schools
