Import pictures and videos using Windows

Hello all,

 

When plugging in a digital camera in Windows 7, if autoplay is enabled, it launches the autoplay menu with the 'Import pictures and videos using Windows' wizard.

 

In the networks I support, I disable this with GPOs to prevent the spreading of viruses and it works very well.

 

How can I create a shortcut, so users can insert their camera, manually run the shortcut, which of course bypasses the autoplay problem. Many thanks.

If you currently use (or install) Windows Live Photo Gallery, you can create a shortcut to WLXPhotoAcquireWizard.exe to launch the Import wizard.
