Toshiba C660-21U blue screen

can you help,

 

we have a Toshiba C660 21U it has blue screened, with an error saying

 

Hardware Malfunction

Call your hardware vendor for support

NMI: Channel chck/IOCHK

*** The system has halted***

 

 

What does this mean?

Is it under warranty?

Then just send it back, although they take their time (PCs get sent to Germany for repair) Toshiba support are fairly good.

 

Last lappy I sent back was actually a C660 with duff wireless. I just phoned up and explained I'd built 5 machines from the same image and one had very poor wireless performance. The guy just said "sounds like the aerial's not been connect" and arranged the collection.
