Sage 50 accounts 2009

Has anyone had any luck in deploying this? I've been working on this on and off over the last few days, but drawn a blank. There is no prebuilt MSI to speak of, and generating my own using multiple snapshot tools has failed (always errors, even without post snapshot modification). Their technical support was useless, the guy I was talking to wasn't aware of what an MSI was, let alone how to deploy sage accounts.

normally for sage software if you install it on 1 PC goto the c:\program files\sage folder,

 

looks for a file called netsetup.exe , thats the full installer and cna be run with /switches to silently install.

It has a placeholder called netsetup.RTF which says:

 

"For Sage 50 Accounts the NetSetup install option is no longer available.

If you require any further information about installing a multi user version of Sage 50 Accounts, please refer to your installation guide"

 

The installation guide, under multiuser install, tells you to go to each client machine, insert the CD... etc

hi _bat_ , never seen this before? , strange,

 

things i would try : if you still have the CD try and reinstall on a fresh PC , does it ask for server install or workstation install?

try tech support again for sage, erm ( running out of ideas lol)

try virtulizing the app Cameyo | Free Application Virtualization ??

Funny enough that even for version 2014 they have the same deployment methods!
