Hi

One of our staff's USB pen drive has broke (USB bit has snapped off) - can anyone recommend a data recovery company that might be able to help with this matter. I know there's plenty out there I just wondered if folk here had had a good experience which they could pass on. Or any other suggestions.

Cheers

If its literally the metal "plug" that's snapped off the circuit board it is a quite easy for anyone with basic soldering skills to put it back on.

You then want to move the data to a new stick, create a backup and throw the old one.

I've repaired a fair few that have had the metal end snapped off. As long as the board isn't to damaged or had the solder pads ripped off it shouldn't be to tricky.

I use an old floppy or IDE cable for the wiring. I have a metal end already soldered to the wires i used to do that many.
