DosGhostCastServer Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Hello all, I've just created a bootable version of Norton Ghost 2003. I want to use this key for GhostCasting. Problem is though, this version of Ghost doesn't support it. So I need to find a newer Ghost.exe file. Any of you have suggestions where I could fine it? Greets, Michael
Guest TheLibrarian Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Symantec If you are looking for something for free try Fog.
localzuk Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 As TheLibrarian mentions, Ghost isn't free. To get a different version you'll need to buy it, or you can look at an alternative such as Fog or Clonezilla.
DosGhostCastServer Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 Thanks, I'll try the freeware programs! :-)
cpjitservices Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 FOG is an OS as is CloneZilla not a program or an app.
Domino Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 FOG is an OS as is CloneZilla not a program or an app. Er, no. Fogs an application. it provides PXE booting an OS to the clients to perform the image - but it's still an application. I'll also vouch for it's use, it's great :-)
mthomas08 Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 +1 for FOG here too, our Techy who has set it up has done wonders for our imaging. Not perfect as we encountered with two sets of laptops, one type refuses to show the screen the other freezes at please wait - just typical really. Still with Windows 7, doesnt take long to build a laptop etc.
