Spool... Pause... Delete

Hi all,

 

We're having a very odd printing problem here... It applies to two new cover supervisors only (as far as we know). When they try to print to any printer, the job will spool, pause, then delete itself without printing.

 

It does the same thing regardless of machine. We're running Win XP SP3 with the latest drivers etc for the printers.

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Any kind of print monitoring software that could prevent them from printing jobs?

We have Impero and Papercut, but neither of them are currently monitoring or actively doing anything...

out of space on the server which has the print spooler?

We have space on our print server. The odd thing is it's only the two Cover Supervisors... it's not academy wide...

It can also be caused by the wrong paper size in their document application. Unknown or unsupported paper size sent to the printer.

Okay, Nik. That's one thing we haven't checked! Odd that that would cause that kind of error... but I guess we're using Windows, should've realised that it could be something odd... Will give that a try now!

Turns out we did have some software sitting in the background... the license had expired and our Apprentice failed to mention it... we got a trial key, removed the users, and now all is hunky dory! Thanks for your help guys and sorry for the brain racking!
