Mike_1 Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 If they're classed as failed, they won't try again until you redeploy. Where they marked as offline when the first deployment went out? Yeh they were offline when the first deployment went out, i assumed when the users then brought the laptops back in and on the network they would upgrade but that doesnt seem to be the case.
matt40k Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 If you can, check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations in the registry, it may need a reboot.
Ghostgame Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 If an upgrade is ran via Solus3 and some of the workstations are offline, i was under the impression that when they get switched on they will automatically upgrade and was also told this is the case by Capita. But i tested this and that didn't happen, the machines that were off never upgraded when switched on. Obviously this causes a massive issue with laptops being taken off site etc. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue or can shed any light on it? Logged a call with Capita about this problem. They got back to me and said that this issue had been fixed in SOLUS 3.118. Not sure if it has as we are waiting for the next round of SIMS updates before we update SOLUS3 Going to be waiting for the next update and we will see. If not fixed going to poke Capita with the number 3 sized stick.

We did have issues with past releases when adding a new machine to SIMS workstations in S3 it didnt then install SIMS as it should but this is now working fine in the .118. Rolling out an upgrade will be the big test, hopefully it will work exactly as it should.
