I've not tried an upgrade via .118 but this release does seem a lot better. We did have issues with past releases when adding a new machine to SIMS workstations in S3 it didnt then install SIMS as it should but this is now working fine in the .118. Rolling out an upgrade will be the big test, hopefully it will work exactly as it should.

Yeh they were offline when the first deployment went out, i assumed when the users then brought the laptops back in and on the network they would upgrade but that doesnt seem to be the case.

Just thought i'd bump this, is anyone still having issues with machines not upgrading when they come back online? I've not tried the latest April release of S3 to see if it makes any difference but with .107 i am still having this issue, which is a pain when you have laptops off site at the time of upgrade etc

Has anyone rolled this out to one of their schools yet? Any issues encountered?

This update seems to have resolved the issues we were experiencing. We've done some testing with it and so far, so good. How is everyone else getting on with it?

I've also had the issue of the deployment getting stuck 'in progress' and also recently had it apparently fail on a few machines because it's timed out, however when i check the workstation it has upgraded them fine. Glad its not just me having issue's.

Yeh, i'm sure when i first started testing it months ago it worked correctly, although alittle hit and miss but now doesnt work at all. I've done the redeploy to get it on the machines that were missed first time round like you say Stuart but it isnt ideal, i was just wondering if it was sometihng i was doing wrong or other people were experiencing the same.

Hi, If an upgrade is ran via Solus3 and some of the workstations are offline, i was under the impression that when they get switched on they will automatically upgrade and was also told this is the case by Capita. But i tested this and that didn't happen, the machines that were off never upgraded when switched on. Obviously this causes a massive issue with laptops being taken off site etc. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue or can shed any light on it? Thanks

Whats the exact error? I was getting 'Tolerance not met on Solus3 database' at one school and the Configuration Patcher available from Capita fixed that. Hi, A school is having issues with FMS & their budget planning software, they have Windows7 64bit and have SIMS in both Program Files folders (64 bit and x86) to avoid the commandpulsar.exe error. Capita have asked to change the Star7 settings in FMS to point to the x86 folder to potentially fix the budget planning software issue. My concern is will this cause issues with there being a mixture of 32bit and 64bit machines, i'm sure i read on here that it wasnt recommended? I did mention this to Capita but they didnt know. Thanks

Hi, Has anyone upgraded SOLUS3 to 3.4.103 yet? Whats new in this release? Also does anyone know if you can go from 3.4.24 straight to 3.4.103? I only ask as a few of our schools where we haven't yet made the transition to SOLUS3 are still on 3.4.24, i just wondered if i'm going to have to go over them and upgrade to 3.4.64 first and then do 3.4.103. I've read quite a few negative comments about SOLUS3 but its going ok here so far, we have had a few issues along the way but they have turned out to be more issues with the schools network such as DNS etc than SOLUS3. Thanks
