Windows 7 Slow File Copy over network

Hi,

 

I am testing network throughput and the file copy transfer between a W2K8 and Windows 7 clients is slow. We are getting around 11MB/s transfer speed. The server infrastructure to backbone is 1GB but the client connects at 100M. Is this speed slow? If so, any advice?

 

I have also disabled autotuning still now luck.

100Mbit/s to the client so 11MBytes/s is about right.

Yea 100MBit is quite slow and that is about right transfer wise.

Other factors to take into account are the spec of the workstation and the speed of the hard disk too. 11MB/s is pretty much as good as it gets with 100Mbps.
