Two things. Firstly, when I right-click on a file, I don't get the option to preview it, but instead get this menu:

MyFiles Right-Click.jpg

Secondly, not as important but just niggly, could you correct the formatting in the download warning message below:

MyFiles Download Message.jpg

It just needs the extra return taking out and a lower case S (it looks like you wrote two different messages and then merged them).

IE9 here, and I don't get the overlay problem you've posted. I do have "open, preview, details" spuriously in the top left corner though (see below)

That fixed the layout issue (mine was set in compatablility mode RM policy setting I guess) Nick but when I try to access the images folder I get 3 error dialog boxes. Screen Shot attachedhap.jpg

I just noticed that the file list was not the file list from the account I logged in as. The file listing is from my account which is weird.

Odd, can you go F12 in IE and tell me what Mode IE is running in. Browser Mode: IE9. Document Mode: IE9 Standards

That's what I have too.

@nickbro Was there a resolution to this? I get the same view in IE9, FF and Chrome (with context menu items displayed in the page and replaced with "onContextMenu", "onShowMenu" and "bindings" (as described by @enjay above). IE9 Browser Mode is "IE9".

Firebug shows no errors or warning (though i expect you were asking @gianzack for firebug feedback)

(running 7.8 btw) :)

Ok that's the wrong version, can you Redownload HAP+'s Web ZIP and replace ~/scripts/jquery.contextMenu.js

Should read:

* Version: r2
* Date: 16 July 2007

Posted

fab - the old one is in the "upgrade" zip.. so getting it from the full release :)

There do seem to be a couple of differences between the Full Release and my upgraded version.. i'm sure they are only minor, but:

~/Default.aspx is slightly bigger and newer in full zip

~/HelpDesk/Default.aspx is slightly bigger and newer in full zip

~/HelpDesk/NewAdminNote.aspx is slightly bigger and newer in full zip

~/Bin/HAP.Web.Logging.dll is the same size, but newer in the full zip

~/Scripts/jquery.contextMenu.js is obviously older too :)

Thanks again!! It's working a treat now.. (though previews aren't.. i'll come back to you on that once ive troubleshooted it a bit more)

Couple more things on the MyFiles preview in 7.8 :)

1> My ie9 seems to default to "IE9 Compat View" for hap.. I dont have anything in GPO's for compatability mode and other sites load in IE9 mode.. All that happens, is i see the same as @ragbuster above:

This is what I see.

2> In the file explorer pane (right hand side), Drives require a Single-Click to open, but folders require a Double-Click - is that intentional?

3> The Toolbar is not displayed on the first level of browsing (i.e. N:\), so no Upload / NewFolder option are displayed. The toolbar loads on the second level, i.e. N:\Desktop

4> I am getting an error with previewing all files. I get an Internal Server Error popup. Firebug shows:

Odd, usually sticking the HTML 5 Doctype forces IE into IE9 mode

2> In the file explorer pane (right hand side), Drives require a Single-Click to open, but folders require a Double-Click - is that intentional?

By Design, so single clicking causes the selection

3> The Toolbar is not displayed on the first level of browsing (i.e. N:\), so no Upload / NewFolder option are displayed. The toolbar loads on the second level, i.e. N:\Desktop

Odd it should be disabled when you go into a drive, mine does (tested in Firefox, Chrome, IE8, IE9, and IE9 on WP7.5)

That one is an odd error, just hold on for the v7.9 release which is around the corner, should fix a few issues, especially in the My Files Preview

Hi Nick - I updated the jquery.contentMenu.js file as you suggested earlier, and now have "preview" on a right-click, however it doesn't present the file; a window opens a window saying "loading..." but the preview never appears.

Just tried it from Firefox so I could use Firebug, and it said "internal server error" before giving me the "loading..." page. Guess IE suppressed that message for some reason.
