Using Activstudio / Primary on a Smartboard

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to use Activstudio / Primary on a Smartboard?

 

Promethean say I need to buy an Activhub + pen. The smartboard will then think it's a Promethean board and work as such.

 

BUT I want to keep the ability to use my finger on the Smartboard but with the Activstudio / Primary software.

 

Has anyone cracked this problem?

yes, it is against the software license agreement to use it without promethean hardware connected to the system. it will also display a watermark on the screen and disable some tools. however if you buy an activslate system for example, that comes with an activhub, then you can use our software on the smartboard, it behaves like dongle. you will still be able to use your finger on your board too (if you are that way inclined).

ring up promethean tech support and ask to speak to me, it's one of those things that's probably easier to explain over the phone.

 

(plus I think it sounds too "sales" like to be on here)
