Connect Sky+ through Media Centre?

I've heard that it is possible to somehow connect your Sky+ box into your media centre so that you can watch it through the media centre and save the effort of changing channels!

 

Is this really possible? Has anyone done this?

there used to be an "app" for media centre so you could watch/stream sky content(from them not your box as far as im aware) to media centre i believe thats now gone is that what you mean?

Thanks but no. I mean physically connecting your Sky+ box into a PC running Media Centre software.

Yep, got an interface card with video input and then in WMC configure it to tell it that it is an external video source and away you go.

You used to be able to do this by getting your PC to transmit the IR remote codes to the box so in effect it changes channels for you. Was never very reliable though.
