We have folder redirection set on users favourites, pointing at their user area.

When a new user logs onto one of our domain machines, the default links from Windows 7 get copied to the users favourites.

Is there anyway to stop this from happening, as I can't seem to find where they are! They aren't located in the C:\Users\Default\Favourites location, as this is empty.

Cheers

If you've redirected Favorites, it'll be located in the user's documents rather than their profile.

e.g. H:\Favorties and not C:\Users\Username\Favorites

As to stopping or preventing system generated Favorites, you can disable Favorites - User Config > Windows Settings > Internet Explorer Maintenance > URLs > Favorites and Links

The only problem with this is 'I think' it will delete all Favorites apart from ones created by the administrator.

Gah.....not really what i wanted to do! Yes, they are in H:\Favourites, but it copies some stuff off the machine from somewhere, as if you delete the contents of the folder, then logon again, you get loads of links and folders including:

Microsoft websites, favourites bar, etc. Just wondering where this was coming from!
