CHR1S Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Lots of web posts that say its because of an internal MMC reader, which I cant disable. I have stuck an SD card in but it still hangs. Anyone got any tips to get this running? Thanks
SYNACK Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Check in the BIOS for a drive wipe function or use a different tool like the Windows Seagate tools on a live cd. DBAN also has issues with some SATA controllers and chokes. We have actually given up secure wipeing disks now as we encrypt laptops using bitlocker and just wipe the TPM at the end. Desktop drives usually stay with us till they flat out die. 1
CHR1S Posted November 21, 2011 Author Posted November 21, 2011 Ive used Active@ Killdisk to write zeros over the drive, which was encrypted anyway. Should be irrecoverable right?
