Im trying to set up squid so I can use it as a proxy, not fussed about any cache config.

I want it to pop up and ask for username and password, which can just be contained in a txt file on the server in plaintext.

I want to be able to use the proxy from any address so 0.0.0.0/0 mask I think.

I used to have this exact configuration working, but with an old version. I cannot get anything from my old conf to work. I keep getting an Access Denied, and dont get any prompt for username and password.

Anyone point me in the directoin of a recent How To for the new config file, or is able to knock me up a simple config please?

Thanks

@powdarrmonkey have you had a spare minute to have a look? I'm not sure what has changed in new versions since I configured that one.;. Edited by RabbieBurns
