A friend has an image file with the .scn extension as part of their uni coursework. What program do they need to open it or convert it as they need to put it in an assignment they're writing?

Its a SimCity save file!!!

Or it could be a pinnacle saved document, or it could equally be a saved scan. Without knowing why they have that file and who gave them the file it would be difficult to imagune what you would need to open the file

Is there a file that can pick up what program was used to create the file? even if the file is not an as yet recognised format?
