CHiLL Posted November 27, 2011 Author Posted November 27, 2011 I'll check again in work tomorrow, but it certainly wasn't updating the XML file last time. I'd consider trying to reinstall it, but I would probably miss all sorts of personalisation in the files.
CHiLL Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 What should the SIMS report outpul XML file be called? It's called Timetable.XML at the moment, as I'm sure that's what you've said. But above the import button within HAP, it states it must be called "sims-bookings.xml". If I create it called sims-bookings.xml, I get the following error: Server Error in '/HAP' Application. Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. nickbro Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 It should now be called sims-bookings.xml, it was timetable, but that wasn't what the GUI was saying it wanted. Also timetable and timetables.xml were confusing.
CHiLL Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 Any thinking about the error I'm now facing?
CHiLL Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 (edited) I have upgraded to v7.7 and it has worked! It has imported all the lessons! However, now it won't actually display them on the booking system, or any room. When I load the main BookingSystem, I get the following: Internal Server Error Firebug in Firefox is saying: "NetworkError: 500 Internal Server Error - http://localhost/HAP/api/BookingSystem/LoadRoom/29-11-2011/L4 That error comes up once for every room, and it's always that date. More specific in FireBug: Server Error in '/HAP' Application. Could not find a base address that matches scheme https for the endpoint with binding WebHttpBinding. Registered base address schemes are [http]. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. and The service &#39/HAP/api/bookingsystem&#39 cannot be activated due to an exception during compilation. The exception message is: Could not find a base address that matches scheme https for the endpoint with binding WebHttpBinding. Registered base address schemes are [http Edited November 29, 2011 by CHiLL
nickbro Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Check in IIS that the bindings are correct.
nickbro Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 What ports/protocols IIS will use on your website
CHiLL Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 I'm only using standard http, as SSL isn't required (as we're only using this internally). In the dubugging, it also says this: An endpoint reference cycle was detected in your configuration. The following reference cycle must be removed: webHttpEndpoint/, webHttpEndpoint/. (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\HAP\web.config line 197) at System.ServiceModel.Description.ConfigLoader.LookupEndpoint(ServiceEndpointElement serviceEndpointElement, ContextInformation context, ServiceHostBase host, ServiceDescription description, Boolean omitSettingEndpointAddress)
nickbro Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Follow the instructions the error message is giving you, remove webHttpEndpoint
CHiLL Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 Removing it doesn't help. Now I'm not getting any description in the errors. Just this: Response Headers Cache-Control private Content-Type text/html; charset=utf-8 Server Microsoft-IIS/7.5 X-AspNet-Version 4.0.30319 X-Powered-By ASP.NET Date Tue, 29 Nov 2011 11:33:39 GMT Content-Length 4351 Request Headers Host localhost User-Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0 Accept application/json, text/javascript, */*; q=0.01 Accept-Language en-gb,en;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding gzip, deflate Accept-Charset ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 DNT 1 Connection keep-alive X-Requested-With XMLHttpRequest Referer http://localhost/HAP/bookingsystem/ Cookie mycompv=html; ASP.NET_SessionId=f5m14rmmurbzf5m51qu5e4p4; .ASPXAUTH=760091DC26E43572400CC8C38EF997640ACFC9BB5A30EA1F8089167A34669C6D6F572A0A082080CB965B301F1D81B960E2DCE97BDF8EF4EF877DFCD18E349B2C6455BF04996B21CB85270BEC9FA030B5ABBC205F5D84A94F541BE4ED187A36B3; token=ybRU3lEw+xoULkXb4Hvg1Q==
CHiLL Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 Here's that section of code from ~\HAP\web.config.xml: Line 197, which is where it says there's an error is:
CHiLL Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 It is working, but now I'm trying to deny access for specific groups of users in AD. I have only defined two groups: The problem is, that students can also log in, even though they aren't defined. Their OU path is OU=Students,DC=christ,DC=local. Also, what is the config to deny user from gaining access to certain areas? For example:
CHiLL Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Thanks, that's working. My next step, now that I'm happy with the installation on my local machine, is to install it on our 2K8R2 server.
CHiLL Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 I'm having trouble on our Server 2008 R2 II7 trying to set it up. The server in question is a DC. When I try to add permissions for the IIS AppPool\HAP, it doesn't exist. I cannot select Service Accounts from the local server, as the option for Service Accounts just isn't there. Any ideas?
nickbro Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 HAP+ Runs best of a Terminal/Remote Desktop Server. It tends to not like DC's as they don't allow everyone to have interactive Logon Rights
CHiLL Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 So you're saying the server it's on needs to allow normal staff members log on rights onto it? That won't happen for us, regardless of what the server is, only domain admins have logon rights to servers. Unfortunately we don't have any IIS 7 servers that aren't DCs. I've been having trouble putting it on IIS 6.
nickbro Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 It should work under Basic Auth mode. It's Forms Auth that needs Interactive Rights
CHiLL Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Sorry, that may have been me being a naive and not thinking it through. Will look into it tomorrow.
CHiLL Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 (edited) Got it working! Nick, you're a genius! Edited December 1, 2011 by CHiLL
Simmer Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Im seeing this error whenever i try to access the extended version? any ideas
