jlucas Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Morning all We have a couple of iPads here and one has no sounds when using apps. I can get it to make a noise when using menus and starting up etc and the sound will work perfectly when headphones are plugged in. The volume switch doesn't seem to increase/decrease the volume (just comes up with sound effect and doesn't do much). I have checked the mute/rotation lock switch and tried in as many combinations as I can. I've tried a factory restore and a reset settings but no difference. Any one have any ideas? Cheers James
GrumbleDook Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Do you have the same issue when headphones are plugged in?
jlucas Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 When the head phones are plugged in the sound works fine, volume controls work and all apps have sound. As soon as you remove the headphones the problem returns.
chazzy2501 Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 have you ever used bluetooth or air play?
jlucas Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 I don't *think* bluetooth or airplay have been used (its a PE iPad, looked after by the department so not 100% sure). Can that cause a problem?
