Access 2010 database issue "Could not use 'Admin'; file already in use."

We have a database system that uses Access accde as the front end which points to multiple access databases pointing to a SQL backend.

 

We have tried sharing the accde from a central share and also accessing the accde from the users Application Data folder.

3 times now we have had this error message "Could not use 'Admin'; file already in use."

 

If the user logs onto a different machine the problem does not occur but then the user logs onto the original machine and the problem is there again, restarting the machine does not help.

 

Clearing the users local profile seems to cure the issue, all users do have local profiles.

 

Does anyone know where locked files get stored?

 

I see that there is a locked file created in the folder where the accde is stored.
