Howdy,

I'm having some real issues installing Home Access Plus onto a newly created web server.

I have followed the video instructions to the "t" but when i go to launch the setup.aspx i get a server error 500 "there is an error with the resource you are looking for and it can not be displayed". However, if i put a index.html file in the folder it will display properly. So somewhere I'm having issues getting the aspx files to display.

Can someone point me in the right direction on this?

Thanks!

No, I get the same errors from the server using 127.0.0.1.

I'm reinstalling the server right now, i'll give more info once i get to that point here in a few minutes.

So, i installed it on web server 2008R2 and it seems to be working. I'm not sure what changed that it's now working, but i'll keep you all updated if I figure out what happened.

-Thanks!

I too am getting error 500 on a fresh install on a new 2008R2 server. I cant get any page apart from the default IIS page to load locally or remotely.

edit: we have no ssl cert installed as we were only running as a trial in house, will sort that now first.

Can i just add to this. I had the same issue. I made sure ALL IIS features were added to a new Server 2008 R2 install, followed the de-structions to a t, even the part where you have to add user "IIS AppPool\HAP" and also had to remove line 124 from the web.config file. To get round this issue, once you have installed .NET v4 you have to make sure MS updates has been run. This will update .NET v4 so HAP will be able to work.
