I'm looking to replace the stock cooling unit on my CPU (i7-950) with something that might allow it to run a bit quieter, and I'm considering doing the same for the graphics card (Sapphire Radeon 5870).

I'd prefer something quiet with equivalent or better cooling than my stock stuff.

Case is massive, it's a Thermaltake Armor, so plenty of space and slots. Currently running 2x 120mm (1 front one rear), 1x 250mm Side fan, 1x 90mm fan top rear for hard drive cooling. (I removed the top fan it normally comes with, PSU was too large)

Any suggestions?

I'm considering a Corsair H80

For the CPU. Not sure on the graphics card.

Could go for a custom water cooling option, but not seen anything to suggest it'd actually be any quieter.

Great suggestions by Nephilim. I have the 120mm version of those DeepCool fans and they are easily the best fans I have ever bought. I actually purchased them from the US since they weren't available in the UK at the time.

I'm considering a Corsair H80

One thing to be aware of with the H80 is that the stock fans are quite noisy even at low speeds, so you will probably want to replace them as soon as you unbox it. This means you could end up spending over £100 in total (£74.16 + 2 x £14.99). Also worth mentioning is that unless you buy the $99 Corsair Link controller to go with the H80, you will have to open your case every time you want to change the fan speed!
