timbo343 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 This is a real head stratcher and its doing my head in. At the mo we have our proxy server set to 172.16.24.1 which works fine until you add a server into the expections box such as http://thor/owa. It then takes out the proxy address which leaves the user without a proxy connection therefore no internet. We are running windows 7 throughout school and are pushing the settings out via group policy. For the life of me i cannot get the proxy server to stay in when we add servers to the exceptions. Has anyone come across this before? Thanks
DT2 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Have you tried just adding your 172.16.* range to the exception list? As DNS will resolve the internal server name anyway. DT 1
timbo343 Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Oh, that seems to work... thank you. 1
