Seriously though I think it might be better reducing the minimum players, I've not seen more than two people on it so far during weeknights, people don't seem to be joining from quick matches so we probably aren't losing much?

Butters Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 The server renewal is coming up and really it's not being used so will shut it down. Maybe we can attempt this in the future if we get a bit more organisation which I just don't have the time to do!
CAM Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 The problem was the minimum players to start setting. It's not fun sitting in a plane waiting instead of getting some flight/plinking practice in.
Butters Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 It's an issue that's been fixed with the latest server patches I believe. When it started we had to force the server to start with two manually via RCON. I'm more than happy to keep it running but I'm not paying for it solo.

If a few people were going to chip in for a 32 man server, I'd be happy to chuck a few quid a month towards it.

Rawns Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 (edited) Had a fun session yesterday with @Butters on the Edugeek server. At one point, we had about 20 slots filled. Unfortunately though, it seems the auto balancing was playing up a bit. If there was enough interest, I could see great possibilities though. Butters Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 Autobalance is now FIXED The config is a pretty standard softcore version but as stated in the Platoon - it can all be tweaked. All we need now is to organise a good session to get everyone on and get it populated!

CAM Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Was surprised to see the server up again. Unfortunately I got dragged away to another server by my party. May have another crack tonight if SWTOR doesn't interfere with my time. My WoW guild's TS server also goes unused if anyone wants some voice comms...
