Zimbra and Blackberry

Upgrading to Zimbra 7 IMAP proxy wouldn't start so we just stopped our Zimbra running IMAP proxy since it's a single server installation. Everybody is happy apart from the Head whose Blackberry now refuses to talk to Zimbra. We've even set up port forwarding so requests the standard IMAP proxy port are now forwarded to the IMAPS port. Anyone got experience of making Blackberries happy with Zimbra?
