MICROSOFT POWERPOINT PRINTING PROBLEM

I have recently encountered an issue when printing from Powerpoint. When I try to print the slides from Powerpoint the printer simply prints blank pages, although the print preview clearly shows the content on the slides. I have also sent a test page to the printer and this prints fine, as well as their being a good amount of ink.

 

I have researched this and there is several issues revolving Office and printing, however nothing specific to Powerpoint. Just wondered if anybody had experienced this or a similar problem? And any solutions to the problem?

Worth trying a different print driver. If you're using the postscript driver, try PCL5 or PCL6, or vice-versa.

What is it that are on the power point slides ie shapes such as squares / rectangles or are there actual images or what exactly ?

 

I know within the page setup settings you can tick / check the relevant tick boxes so that it prints out objects such as shapes / images etc so that might be worth a shot.

 

Also on the driver ( both in printing prefs and printing defaults ) I sometimes swap between printing using true type fonts to bit image.

Its when were trying to print images on the PowerPoints, they show up in the preview before printing,

 

we have tried the options RM gave us .... which were to make the image colour in the print settings and change the DPI to 1200... this hasnt solved it.

In Power Point 2010

 

File --> Options --> Advanced --> Scroll to the print section and you can check or tick the relevant tick boxes with regards to printing objects / images, printing the images at the printers resolution etc etc

 

Design tab --> Page Setup --> ensure paper size is set to A4 or whatever paper size you are attempting to print onto.

 

In 2003 I think all of these options are in the page setup section
