Saving files Windows 7 Ent all - the strangest thing

Hi all

 

We have been running Windows 7 Enterprise and Office 2010 for a few months and all has been good except today when the DT suite reported that machine were hanging when saving files or indeed sitting there with a dialog box for upto 30 mins. The applications were reporting Not Responding - the strangest thing is if you choose Save As and call the file something else it saves fine!

 

There are no storage issues etc, and this happened in Office 2010 and then a CAD package that we used.

 

If anyone has any ideas I would be really glad to hear from you...

had a similar thing with office 2k7 and vista, out office SP2 on there and it solved it,
