cc3 custom driver help

bought a machine which was similar to an rm machine with intelg41 architecture and a realtek8111 network card.

The rm smartbuild finds the driver straight away as a 8168 driver which we already have on the network. it says testing the network connection but then nothing. it stays there. anyone have any ideas. whereas if we have had driver issues in the past then it says connection not found etc

i have tried the drivers off the cd too

we've had this with some stone machines and stone just sent us some 'cc3' drivers which solved it... you might need to speak to whoever you got the machine from, the standard intel dos drivers just don't work!

Just download the appropriate drivers from the realtek site and import the drivers into your build simple

 

We found the realtek nics not as good as the intel 1000 pro desktop but worked all the same.

 

You don't need to buy RM machines to work on an RM network its all down to the motherboard and nic and you don't need to smartbuild just build from scratch once you have imported the appropriate drivers into your build.

 

PM me for any help with this on CC3 as we ran one for 8 years we now on CC4 and its even better.

8168 does sound like a Realtek network adapter. I think the probability is the driver you have maybe for the PCI version, as PCI-Express Realtek's use a different driver.

Have a look here for your drivers

 

You will require the dos drivers for the initial build and then the 32bit drivers which will be imported into the build area on the server for creating your USB build pen don't forget

 

It looks like an onboard chipset so you might have to go to the motherboard manufacturer and download the appropriate drivers from there.

thanks chaps,i got the drivers from searching google. i can now build to windows environment but now getting an error when it changes over to the widnows build stage. saying can not connecto to the network. So i am trying another route where i put the .dos driver into the rm 8168 driver folder and hope it will take over the windows side of things for me. Will update on monday

We just smartclient ours via a pre-smartcliented ghost image - it's far quicker than an RM build anyway; bonus being it removes all the hassle of trying to load custom drivers and what-not

Yeah keeps falling over where windows takes over for the build stage saying could not connect to the network
