Hi

I hope some one can help, i have looked at the other threads and cannot see anything that can help. I am trying to install v7 and keep getting Not Found Error when entering the details for the AD settings, can you confirm what the Domain UPN is, i have tried schoolname, schoolname.internal and the three letter code?

Thanks

Kelvin

It is your FQDN, so schoolname.internal

It didn't work for me either until I rebooted the server, but I think that may have been down to some Windows Updates that had been recently installed.

unfortunately still receiving the error. also noticed that there are red X's by

IIS6 Wildcard Mapping: X

Services Activated: X

App_Data Write Accss: X

i'm guessing this is causing problems. follow install to the letter twice. still having that problem though with not found pop-up.

Ok things are getting better.

started from scratch with a new virtual directory

now IIS6 wildcard mapping is good

Services are active

App_data write access is good

hap/api/test is returned as working

i now get the popup for the AD to select student OU. unfortunately now receive

Server Error in '/HAP' Application.

did not happen this time. so we are making progress, and by we i mean you while i mash the keyboard with my fists.

Still receiveing and internal server error when attempting to remove items from the homepage config such as the email option. hitting the x causes and internal server error popup when trying to delete one of the resources.

sorry to keep bothering you like this.

apologies for wasting your time. IT seems HAP doesn't like chrome. makes sense a MS technology not playing massively fair with another browser. using ie8 and all seems much better.

yeah it is strange. usually the quirks that show up in Chrome usually show up in firefox with this kind of thing as IE is the odd one out.

Not this time it seems though i am very suspicious that it may be this particular install of chrome that is strange. Just checking now.

Nope i receive the same error when accessing it from home using chrome i get an internal server error when deleting an item using chrome in the resources section.

I'll take a look but the strange thing is it's a stock install. I've installed it entered AD Details and then this is the first think that happens when i try to change anything.

getting weirder. I followed your advice. and removed one of the access your emails items as they both had the same name.(even though thats the config file that comes with the install) and the error went away. even stranger the other error went away after editing the hapconfig.xml

if thats what was wrong i'm surprised more people don't see a problem with it.

thanks so much for your help. i'll let you know once i'm finished setting up and if everything is all running ok.

extract from hapconfig.xml
