gibbo_ap Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 good morning all we are currently after some software that will monitor network usage and utilization. the it manager wants to redistribute computers in to different areas and needs to know areas where current resources are not used. we are rm cc4 here and know there is auditor but any one familar with auditor knows it is useless any ideas?

They are currently in the final stages of testing a new product that does very comprehensive resource useage monitoring and reporting of exactly this kind. I have tried spiceworks several times but it never seems to find all devices. i have never bothered counting devices other than workstations. i have recently given it another go but yet again its only showing 61 workstations

glennda Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I used Webmans Login tracker and then just make a few sql queries to search which things appear in the db less after about 3 months - i had 2 pc's which had been used once...
Elison Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 here we use 10-Strike Network Monitor - Network Monitoring Software (Windows Program) the network monitoring program. and maybe LANState (Network Mapper and Monitor - 10-Strike LANState | Network Mapping Software) that does the same but can automatically build a map of your network
