e_g_r Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Anyone ever had a problem like this? A laptop and data projector that have lived in harmony for a number of years stop working together. You can plug the laptop into another and hey presto it works! and you can use another laptop on its partner fine. This has happened a couple of times now and i have no answer. Help
Alex Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Aliens did it! hmm, only thing I can think of is to try plugging it in, cycling through the internal/external/both options several times. I'm sure you've tried this. Projectors and Whiteboards used to drive me mad, we had >220 of them and I could not get the teaching staff to ever turn the bastard things off: "Why should I turn it off, turning a projector off is not teaching, I'm not doing it" Hit them hard when they got hit for £350 for a new bulb after 6-8 months when the units had done >4000 hours.
free4440273 Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 teachers would say to me when the bulb died 3 months in "how much for a bulb! 300 quid? for a bulb!" yes, because you never bothered turning the projector off.
Vegas Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 We had a similar problem some weeks ago and it was because the projector keypad had been locked, to release it we had to hold down the 'Menu' button for 5 seconds for it to work again.
