If I'm in a really geeky mood on theW/E (and if I CBA), I may roll back my graphics drivers and load up Fraps to see my FPS, then upgrade top the beta drivers again and then compare. But I really think I've got an extra 2/3 FPS?

Rawns Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Well, I had an epic session last night! Gained a fair few kills, a few unlocks and so far, I'm really loving it despite all settings are on low! However, the wife said that for my crimbo present this year, she will contribute towards a hardware bundle upgrade! I think this is awesome, however she thinks it's a rubbish gift! However, for me, CPU, Mobo & RAM > Socks & Kecks!!! Anyway, back on topic, I have a few questions that you al may be able to answer: 1. Stats - Are they going to be reset on release date, or will they roll on into the full game? 2. Platoons - Any benefit in being one apart from seeing games peeps are in and global Platoon stats? 3. @ZeroHour - How long have you been playing to get to lvl 34/35?! And how have you found time to do so!!! 4. Does anyone else "giggle with excitement" when they ump over items and see their legs swing around?

Hehe I am only lvl 25, I found it pretty easy tbh when you know how the dynamics of BF games work with upgrades Stats will be reset, platoons have not been fully fleshed out yet so I expect extra features to be added but for now it makes a simple list to find other geekers I love the way the game works but a trick for you all, dont run up to the object and hit space, try and jump just before and I have found I can jump over the bar etc without the legs animation delay but that may be a bug.

Deffo a bug. I went on a server that was in Japan and could literally lag myself under the map for large portions of the game. 64 man BF3 server sponsored by Edugeek?

bondbill2k2 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Not put many hours in yet but will get some in over the weekend, had a few glitchs including falling under the map, bushs starting to stretch across paths which was amusing, that was on the ps3 version. My new graphics card is no where near the recommended requirements by nvidia lol the minimum recommendations start at around £250! Still running it all on high without too much framerate drop!
ihaveaproblem Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I run a AMD 6950 and I think you can now get them for a little under £200 or just over. I'm running the settings at max with that and also if you get the version 1 of the card you can unlock it and make it a 6970.

If it fails miserably just tell yourself it was an attempt at being a kamikaze. The amount of times I've crashed into trees and rolled choppers is extraordinary....

I have my own personal TS3 server I run on my media centre at home. Got a good connection + bandwidth so I'm happy to create an Edugeek channel for people to use free of charge for BF3 purposes.

After analyzing the data from our first round of closed Caspian Border tests, we have great news for participants in the Battlefield 3 PC Open Beta: the DICE team has decided to bring back Caspian Border for the beta’s final weekend and conduct an open large scale test of the 64 player Caspian Border map. *****Please keep in mind that as this is beta we will be stress testing our servers***** As such, users may experience crashes, network instability and outages as we roll out and configure servers and network utilities. Understand that such potential issues and the testing environment are not reflective or indicative of the final product and that, through your participation, you will be helping to ensure future stability and functionality. As we are again specifically testing 64-player server configurations, this test will be for PC only. The Caspian Border servers will be available for all PC players to join. Caspian Border will be available starting Friday, October 7th, in the afternoon (CET). Battlelog / Sign in to the Open Beta
