MkII Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Just setting permissions on a shared folder to have a group of kids have full access - and it just isn't takin. Anyone know why? I've removed inherited permissions from this folder, and re-applied the groups I want - all works without a problem. Permissions to actually see the folder apply instantly - but users are not able to create/ copy/ move files into there.
E1uSiV3 Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Have you looked at the share permissions aswell as the folder permissions? Sounds like you have go the share set to "read" without "change" selected

RobC Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Check for a lurking "Deny" permission as well, as Deny will always take precidence over Allow.
