Permissions not working

Just setting permissions on a shared folder to have a group of kids have full access - and it just isn't takin. Anyone know why?

 

I've removed inherited permissions from this folder, and re-applied the groups I want - all works without a problem. Permissions to actually see the folder apply instantly - but users are not able to create/ copy/ move files into there.

Have you looked at the share permissions aswell as the folder permissions?

 

Sounds like you have go the share set to "read" without "change" selected

and they also have change permission on the share itself?

Check for a lurking "Deny" permission as well, as Deny will always take precidence over Allow.
