SW-ICT Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 "Qualifications in Information Technology would be desirable" (Quote from the schools website) < What would be the point in an apprenticeship if they would like you to have the qualifications?
Deeleys Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 They may have an GCSE or A level in IT. We took on an 18 year old apprentice last year who already had an NVQ level 3 in ICT and Microsoft training.
SW-ICT Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 I guess it’s good for the experience, but not really classed as an apprenticeship if you have a NVQ in ICT and Microsoft Training- In less you only have GSCE’s and A-Level
Deeleys Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 I believe there are no age limits on apprenticeships, the criteria is for the person not to have a level 4 qualification or higher (HNC, Degree etc). There are then different salary structures for the specific age group. The Apprentice will be given on the job NVQ level 3 training and there will be a possibility to do a Cisco CCNA at Warwickshire college.
SW-ICT Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Ahhh Thats good, Sorry If i came across as rude. Good luck to anyone one who gets it!
Deeleys Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 No problem, it's good to ask questions.
