Desperate for some decent Equipment

Okay this is a little desperate, I've taken over an Infant school were the equipment is very old its going to take some time to replace with nothing happening till next years budget. The only decent kit they have is an Admin server , Admin station and 5-6 staff laptops. The curriculum network is very bad!

 

With this in mind is anyone scrapping any decent computers or Laptops we could have? In fact i would consider any ICT equipement that could be of use, including a server.

 

I will collect as long as its Birmingham or Midlands ( or close)

I was in this position and I made contact with all the network managers in the local high schools, and particularly the private schools, to ask if they had any old equipment I could have. I thought my pyramid school might come up with something, but it was the network manager of the private school - Netman on here - who offered me a lot of decent machines and has continued to do so - I am writing this on one of them!

Thanks Witch, thats my next stop to contact all the local Schools and Colleges. i used to work at a Secondary's so i know most larger Schools will have a Equipment refresh Cycle in place. A Computer 5- 6 years old would be massve progress for this school

Don't forget the private schools though - they seem to replace their machines quite often
