printers showing as offline

installed some pcs over the holiday (win 7 pro x64) and for some reason they are all showing the printers as offline. The printers (2 different manufacturers so i doubt it driver related) are deployed on a pc basis via gpp, i have tried snmp on and off, if i try and manually make a printer online it just gives me an access violation message 0x00000005. The print server is a 2008r2 box and the printers show up as fine and work on that (so that should be the same drivers)

Where does it say their offline? If on the clients our win 7 pro x64 clients if the printer is out of paper or jammed or some other error it reports the printer is offline, don't know if thats any help, other than that maybe its a GP problem? Maybe try add it to the client manually from the server? See if it adds it properly?

when you say you tried with snmp on and off, is that both on the server and client(s) ??

In the end i just deployed them a different way and it just worked
