Moodle Host Recommendations..

We currently have our school website running on Moodle 2, on an external host, but are getting serious downtime problems....hence why I am looking for a decent moodle 2 hosting company in the uk.

Anyone get any recommendations? Webanywhere any good?

I beleieve LUNS – Lancaster University Network Services do moodle hosting - from all accounts they are pretty good

yep LUNS are! And that has nothing to do with their sponsoring this forum:) They are also core developers of Moodle so they know it inside out. They ran the Moodles for hundreds of schools in Lancs and Cumbria

If you want an option with premium support etc. then I do recommend LUNS they are very good at what they do. CSNEWMEDIA and VELOXSERV also host moodle and it is FULLY support on their servers also! no downtime issues either.

 

If you need help from a finanicial perspective, then I can also help you out hosting it for FREE if you want it external via EduTech Hosting plenty of happy members use that on here for school stuff. not had any downtime or issues either.

I thought I had said the other day that alongside LUNS I was also a happy customer both of CSNewmedia and also Veloxserv but looking now I see it didnt' save. That will have been due to the mobile broadband on a train from Llanelli to Preston - so I'm posting it here now instead:)
