Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to force Windows to install any updates waiting to be installed when the computer shuts down please?

Thanks

They won't on my system. If I hit reboot the machine reboots without installing them.

yeh because you are rebooting, tell the machine to fully shut down.

Aye, There's a regkey that disables the "auto-restart" on windows install, so if it's not working on "shutdown" for you, you may need to change that.

There is still the option to shutdown without installing. I would like to so any type of shutdown reboot etc it will force the updates to install.

I think what FN-GM wants is to make 'Shutdown and Install Updates' the default setting, and I don't think you can. You can only make the option available via WSUS GPOs.

I suppose your only alternative is to set deadlines for updates.
