the guy looks like he has a body harness on with a umbilical rope, so if he slips he'll fall about 10 feet and faceplant into the cliff, but he should live...

 

I've done roped access before and i have sat in some pretty dubious places hanging up speakers with 'nothing but a safety harness'.
