Gaz Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 We are getting some Promethean 387+378 pro can someone enlighten me as to how these "smart boards" work How do they interface with the computer? / projector? Does it work via Capacitance? As you can probably guess I've never used these boards before but I'll have to be administering them. Cheers.
smithson83 Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 USB to PC (optional Wireless) VGA (etc) to Projector Pen for Interactivity (Dual User one for Teacher, one for pupil I believe) There is a software package(application, driver etc) that comes with the System, this can be packaged and installed via GP to your whiteboard PC's if required (scan throught the prometheanworld website) 1
cmssbrie Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Hello, The 300 series of board uses passive electromagnetic interface encased behind robust melamine - for technical reliability and durability. To use the board, you use one of the pens supplied with the unit which will act as your mouse, giving you left and right click functionality. Theres quite a bit more information on our corporate website (Promethean Technology in Education, Classroom Technology and Interactive Whiteboards: Promethean.) if you need any more info. Hope this helps! 1
