Eep, I hope for your sake that their support is a little better for Australia directly than it is to NZ, another shocker of a vendor for support in NZ unfourtunatly.

 

Their support is great, all of our student laptops are all acers, and we have the TravelGuard insurance on them all. I guess them having their HQ here in sydney helps too

Yea, in comparison we are still waiting for a server PSU 6 months later along with a few other issues which make them rather high on my avoided vendors list.

We have 4 hour support on our Acer Servers, tech is normally here within the hour.. Is yours just a standard warranty replacement?

 

Ask for a copy of the Escalation procedure if you don't have one. Ive got contacts right up to the Technical Services Director's mobile number..

It was supposed to be shipped wth the server, a server which was late by 5 weeks and when it finally got there it was holidays and paid for before it was realised that it was missing. I hope it dosen't break as I have no faith it would ever be fixed by their warrenty.

so SSD is a moot point here then? Or do dell supply them if you ask specially?

 

Your Dell account manager/3rd party supplier can spec them. We got them specced but didnt buy them in our E6420's in the end. E6420 are great machines so far, you can get 13" models so might make them a bit lighter?
