Protecting part of a powerpoint

Hi,

I recently has a request to develop some powerpoints for one of the departments. They asked me if it was at all possible to have certain parts of the powerpoint password protected for example you open it up to slide one, then from there, there will be 9 questions, but the teachers don't want the students to go to far into this yet, so could they password protect say slide 4 to 9 so that the students cannot go any further without the next lesson.

 

Funny request, but I don't know if it can be done.

Not as far as I know. Powerpoint is not designed for the use you're using it for.

 

Have you thought about using something like a VLE to make pages available to students so that only pages that you want them to see are published to them?

 

Also, does this concept not mean that you are preventing those who are more talented/knowledgeable from being able to progress at a speed that they are capable of? ie. limiting the progress they can make?

I suspect this can only be done with VBA script...
