[ipad] Primary Education Apps

I've persuaded one of my schools to buy an Ipad for evaluatioin and I'm looking for some apps to show what it can do that a PC can't e.g ones that utilise the touch interface or apps that are brilliant anyway.

 

I've downloaded one called Pocket Phonics abc that lets pupils trace letter shapes but could do with others that cope with cursive writing.

 

If you've come across any good apps - can you share them here please?

The iPad is becoming a very useful teaching tool in the classroom because of the many educational apps that are being created that can be used by students. One of the new and exciting apps that has been developed for the iPad is the animated adaptation of Alice in Wonderland created by Atomic Antelope called “Alice for the iPad”. Alice for the iPad is a wonderfully illustrated version of the classic book – Alice in Wonderland. It sets the standard for what a really remarkable educational ebook should be. You could try Word games for kids: Futaba. That's a great app to help kids review vocabulary being used in schools.
