gcurran1982 Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Hi i'm hoping someone can help. I've resently installed Sophos Endpoint Control (SEC 4.0) on my server (2003 R3) and i've been trying to roll out to the client machines (XP). If i import the Active Directory list of computers it lists them all some have no IP's but i presumed this is because there not on and don't have stactic IP's tried to roll out to the ones that do but only a handfull worked with the ones that didn't i get the message (cannot contact computer). So i did a search on the IP range pick up a few more clients and was able to install. So i decided to try and ping clients from the server and couldn't but i could ping the server from the client and when i ran arp -a i got a full list of IPs. can someone help i thought it was a problem with sophos but i'm guessing it's something to do with the DNS or DHCP? sorry if i'm being thick

sparkeh Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 If you look in DNS do you see all the clients that you expect?
