Epson TM-T88V Receipt Printer

Hi

 

I'm having problems getting this printer to work with are xp sp3 stations. I used the epson advance printer drivers and several utilities but the best I can get is printer to say Not available.

 

I spent hours trying to get this to work, you would think a USB printer would be easy to configure. but i must be missing something simple.

 

Anyone could help would be great??

what software are you using the printer with?

At moment just trying to get it working. Just using drivers from their website.

This is a horrible little printer to configure, from what I recall we had to set the jumpers physically on the under side of the machine (as shown in the photo).

Thanks is that so the USB interface works properly, this my first time installing this kind of printer, and thought it would just be like any other printer, maybe with some tweaking to get it to print correctly. I was pretty annoyed it didn't come with setup disc, and the ISO on their website downloads but is corrupt

Ours is the parrallel model but it still needed baud rates settings from what I recall. I'll have a look out for the drivers.

was a port issue in end, having had virtual usb port before this, created a few problems
